MLC© is a global approach to the body, using movements in order to encourage physical awakening and perception ; a method on the level of mind, body and energy, based on Marie-Lise Labonté’s personal eyperience of self-healing and several years of research and experiments in psychosomatic and energetic medicine. MLC liberates from muscular, circulatory, energetic and postural blockages. These blockages, also called muscular armor (“cuirass”), hinder our vital energy to flow and can result into rigid behaviour, pain, handicap or sickness. We are not only unconscious of the origine of our tensions and discomfort, but also often do not know how to get rid of it. In a soft manner you significantly develop your perception of the messages of your body and thus free yourself from accumulated physical and psychological tensions in order to experience vitality, relaxation and wellbeing.

MLC is practiced with tools such as tennis balls, sticks and soft balls to reach the various layers of muscles and joints and allows you to discover that you are your proper tool of healing. I respect your own personal rhythm of learning in paying attention to the sensations of your body, which enables you to gradually establish awareness and take better care of your needs.

The next module of MLC movements starts on Monday 7th September. It consists of a lunchtime class at 12h15 to 13h30 in English and an evening class from 18h45 to 20h in French.

The registration is for 10 encounters (except missing dates announced before starting). There is a progression in the movements along the weeks. Price of the module : Frs. 300 (Frs. 30.-/encounter) or Frs. 250.- (Frs. 25.-/encounter for AI, students and unemployed. Partial payment possible.

PS : Individual classes (Frs. 80.- individual encounter) can take place according to your availability at 7, Pl. des Augustins on Mondays or at Tao Institut the other days of the week.

 

 

 

Retreat at Bogève – February 2015

Here is a comment of a participant of our retreat:
It was a fantastic experience for me. During the intensive course I learned more about myself, realised how many pain I create in my body and where some reactions are coming from. The most important was that I learned how to be more present and trust the body, not just mind.
  • The place for the session is absolutely fantastic. It is well located – it is easy to get there and at the same time you feel that you are far away from the civilisation. Nothing takes your attention from the practice. The rooms are comfortable and the food is fantastic.
  • I had several intensive sessions and each time it was extremely useful for me. Each time I learned new things and met new great people from whom I also learned a lot.
  • My therapist Rita Rutsche and the methods she employs helped me tremendously. I suffered from the pain in belly for many years and now I have control over it. The chronic pain in the back and shoulders disappeared. My mood is more stable and I feel much better in many ways.
  • The main issue with what I come to Rita was the lack on possibility to control my emotions under pressure. I would easily cry if someone criticise me or if I feel being treated unfairly. It was very embarrassing for me to cry in front of people, but I could not stop it. The tears would come themselves and in 99% I would know that it is an overreaction. For many years I was not able to “cure” myself from this. The psychotherapy help me a lot in many ways, but it did not help me with the tears. I tried the NLP with the personal coach and it did not work either. Only with Rita’s guidance I realised how much I was disconnected from my body and learned how to stop my automated reactions. My problem in finally gone and I am extremely happy about this.

Winter retreat and “amazing treat” 6-8 February 2015

We are preparing our special winter retreat. Please read the following comment on last winter’s retreat.

“I’d had a half-dozen or more Grinberg sessions when the opportunity came up to do an intensive weekend in Bogève. I’d had such good results with the regular sessions that I was pretty sure that there would be some break-throughs with an intensive weekend. And I was right. If it wasn’t the best present I’d ever given myself, I can’t think of what was. “Intensive” was certainly the right word – and it started exactly the kind of shift I was looking for. The intensity of the individual sessions however, was nicely balanced by the group sessions at the beginning and end of each day, and by the relaxed atmosphere and surroundings of the lodge where we stayed. A final positive note was the really excellent food. Often at retreats like this, the food is bearable, but nothing to get excited about. It’s safe to say that we were very excited about meal times – they never disappointed. All in all, a well-organized and personally profitable weekend – highly recommended.”

About our toughest battles

I came across this text today and really think it is worthwhile reflecting on this. Another description of the battle with our behavior patterns!

The toughest battle fought by people are the inherited ones because, in almost all cases, they have no idea why they’ve got to do it in the first place. It just came into them disguised as education (cultural, political, economical, religious, taboos, societal, etc.). It is baffling and harsh because it frequently contradicts their own human nature. This happens because those conditioning, at a certain point, start segregating them, separating them into a fragmented, broken and divisive way of living. Then, when the whole is shattered into pieces, an inevitable mess takes place, i.e., confusion, distresses, all sorts of misleading senses of superiority or inferiority, satisfaction and disappointment, pleasure and pain, freedom and restraint, success and failure that, as a consequence, crashes people’s mind and feelings into bits that are hard to be mended together again. On top of that, many people spend their entire lives unaware of their inherited battles, the inhuman and detrimental implications of those perpetuation and, most importantly, the totally wrong misconception that they could be ever won, regardless of the doctrines they try to uphold and defend. It requires a tremendous individual effort and an unflinching lucidity to rid oneself from the shackles of historically prevailing mindsets, but when such an extraordinary change happens, a gorgeous and sublime new dawn opens up in the path of such a sublime, wise and loving human being.

On conclusions from the past and last weekend 21.5.14



I just came back from my studies in MLC. (Méthode de libération des Cuirasses) We looked at old conclusions we took in our lives and how we keep them unconsciously, without checking if they are still valid today. Such conclusions create a strong impact on our bodies and choices in life. In the eyes of the « conclusion – keeper » it looks evident that life is as we decided to see it. This way we can, at 40, still be the well-behaved little girl our parents preferred and we decided to put on, in order to be appreciated or loved. Conclusions are like roles we learned and mistook them for “this is what I am, this is what life is about”. « I am not enough », « life is not secure » I cannot be what I want, if I do, other people will suffer », “Life is a fight” etc, etc. These beliefs make us miserable, sick and take a tremendous amount of our freedom and joy in life.

 

It was amazing to see the change in all of us, once we started dropping old conclusions that are not valid anymore today. People were shining, happier, more human, naturally attentive and caring and with much more confidence. Our true essence was showing and similar to the flowers in the room that were gently opening and stretching their petals to the light and displaying all their beauty.

Self-belief

Self-belief

When it comes to believes, there are plenty of options to choose from in the vast planetary market. They all have their promises, their dos and don’ts as well as their limitations. However, none of them is as powerful, as inspiring and as rewarding as the self-belief. A person who believes in herself usually has the inner key that opens up unlimited possibilities for development, growth, learning and maturing. Therefore, giving its magnificent benefits, instead of shopping around in the universal market of believes, it would be much more glorifying, reinforcing and ennobling to use one’s mind and time to improve the belief that one has on oneself. Self-belief is a continuous and endless process. Be self-diligent. (Tadany – 23 01 13)
