Retreat at Bogève – February 2015

Here is a comment of a participant of our retreat:
It was a fantastic experience for me. During the intensive course I learned more about myself, realised how many pain I create in my body and where some reactions are coming from. The most important was that I learned how to be more present and trust the body, not just mind.
  • The place for the session is absolutely fantastic. It is well located – it is easy to get there and at the same time you feel that you are far away from the civilisation. Nothing takes your attention from the practice. The rooms are comfortable and the food is fantastic.
  • I had several intensive sessions and each time it was extremely useful for me. Each time I learned new things and met new great people from whom I also learned a lot.
  • My therapist Rita Rutsche and the methods she employs helped me tremendously. I suffered from the pain in belly for many years and now I have control over it. The chronic pain in the back and shoulders disappeared. My mood is more stable and I feel much better in many ways.
  • The main issue with what I come to Rita was the lack on possibility to control my emotions under pressure. I would easily cry if someone criticise me or if I feel being treated unfairly. It was very embarrassing for me to cry in front of people, but I could not stop it. The tears would come themselves and in 99% I would know that it is an overreaction. For many years I was not able to “cure” myself from this. The psychotherapy help me a lot in many ways, but it did not help me with the tears. I tried the NLP with the personal coach and it did not work either. Only with Rita’s guidance I realised how much I was disconnected from my body and learned how to stop my automated reactions. My problem in finally gone and I am extremely happy about this.

“I came to the Grinberg intensive in Bogève with no preconceived notions.  I had never experienced the method and was there out of curiosity and a desire to explore. The people participating in and directing the retreat were lovely.  There was a sense of peace and calm throughout the weekend.  The location was in a beautiful rural mountain setting.  Our room was simple but comfortable.  The vegetarian food was out of this world.  I ate too much at every meal, because there were so many delicious dishes to choose from.    All of these things were enjoyable, but the most important thing was the work we did in the sessions. I learned so much in such a short time. There were five private sessions, plus some group work.  What I learned in the private sessions I still use today.  The touch helped me understand and release some of the energetic  patterns in my body.  I had broken my elbow earlier in the year, and although it was healed my shoulder did not want to stop holding in a protective position.  This was causing problems with my posture.  The touch helped my body release that protective stance permanently.   During the sessions I had some very intense releases of pain, sadness, joy and laughter.  I made some profound discoveries about how and where my body holds the emotional echo of past experiences. All my questions during and after the sessions were answered.  It helped me to understand the method so I could use it to heal myself in the future. I found the retreat a valuable practice and would recommend it to anyone interested in exploring the mind, body and spirit connection.”

I originally made an appointment to see you for a massage, and since the deep friction massage experience was so intense I booked more appointments. The pain relief was as at least good as I have ever experienced and you have a gift for finding exactly that spot from which the pain originates. However, it was the recent ‘intensive weekend’ that made the biggest impact. The 5 treatments, the lifestyle workshops and discussions have unblocked joints and muscles and made me aware of how to address some of the causes.
